When patients ask about follow up treatments, they are usually referring to either:

• Follow up exams
• Corrections for LASIK complications

The first of these types of follow ups is a regular part of LASIK treatment and should not be avoided, and the second is sometimes necessary, particularly if you have worked with an inexperienced or poorly trained eye surgeon.

Carter Eye Center includes initial follow up exams with your LASIK procedure, and offers corrective treatments for individuals who have experienced negative side effects from laser eye treatment.

Follow Up Exams

Dr. Harvey Carter will schedule one or more follow up exams after your LASIK procedure to ensure that your cornea is healing appropriately. During your follow up exams, Dr. Carter will examine your eye and also check your vision acuity.

Laser Eye Surgery Corrections

If you have experienced a complication following your LASIK surgery at another LASIK center, we welcome you to allow us to provide you with corrective treatment. While dry eyes and mild halos with night vision are considered a somewhat common side effect of LASIK, other complications, like double vision or blurry vision are usually correctible, and you should discuss your options with our experienced and highly trained team.
